“අප ජීවත් වන්නේ ප්‍රමාණවත් තරම් ජලය නොමැති ඉතා දුර බැහැර ප්‍රදේශයක ය. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් අපේ දෛනික කටයුතු සඳහා අපි ජලය ලබා ගැනීම සිදු කළේ ගඟෙන්. අපේ ප්‍රදේශයේ ජල ගැටලුව නිසා අපිට බොහෝ ප්‍රශ්න වලට මුහුණ දීමට සිදු වුණා. වාසනාවකට වගේ, “ග්‍රීන් ක්‍රොස්” නම් ආයතනය හරහා පානීය ජල ගැටලුව විසදාගැනීමට අපට හැකි විය. එබැවින් අපගේ ජල ගැටලුව තුරන් කිරීම සඳහා නිසි පිළිතුරක් ලබා දීම පිළිබඳව එම ආයතනයට අපි ස්තූතිවන්ත වෙනවා. ”
“We live in a very remote area where we don’t have adequate water. We usually get water from the river for our daily activities. So, we have been facing many problems because of the water problem in our area. Fortunately, we were able to solve the problem of drinking water through the institution called “Green Cross. So, we are very thankful to that institution for giving us a proper answer to eradicating our water problem.”

“ඇත්තටම වතුර නැතුව පහුගිය වකවානුවේදී අපි ගොඩක් අපහසුතාවයට පත්වුණා. අපගේ දෛනික කටයුතු වන බීමට, ස්නානයට, සේදීම වැනි දෑ ඉටු කිරීමට ප්‍රමාණවත් තරම් ජලය අප සතුව තිබුණේ නැහැ. එබැවින් අපගේ දෛනික කටයුතු සඳහා ප්‍රමාණවත් තරම් ජලය සොයා ගැනීම සදහා බොහෝ දුරක් යාමට අපට සිදුවුණා. ඇත්තම කිව්වොත් දැන් වතුර හොයාගන්න මහන්සි වෙන්න අවශ්‍ය නැහැ. මන්ද, ඔබේ ආයතනය අපට අවශ්‍ය ජල පහසුකම් සපයලා දුන් නිසා. ඉතින්, අපගේ දෛනික කටයුතු ඉතා පහසුවෙන් කරගෙන යාමට අපට හැකි වූ අතර අපි දැන් ඉතා සතුටින් ජීවත් වෙනවා. මේ නිසා මායිම් ගම්මානයක ජීවත් වන අප වැනි අයට උදව් කිරීම ගැන ඔබේ ආයතනයට මාගේ හෘදයාංගම ස්තූතිය පුද කරනවා. ”
“In fact, without proper water supply we have faced a lot of trouble in the last few years. Hence, we had not adequate water to fulfill our daily activities such as drinking, bathing, washing etc. So, we were compelled to go a long distance to find enough water for our daily purposes. To be honest, there is no need to be so hard to find water now. Because, your institution has provided the essential water facilities that we needed. So, we were able to carry out our daily activities very easily and we live very happily now. Therefore, I offer my heartfelt thanks to your institution for helping people like us living in a border village like this.”

“පිරිසිදු ජලය ලැබීම ගැන අපි හුඟක් සතුටු වෙනවා. අපේ ජනතාවට ජලය සොයා බොහෝ දුර යාමට සිදු විය. ජලය නොමැතිව විශේයෙන් කාන්තාවන්ට තම ගෙදර දොරේ වැඩ කටයුතු කරගෙන යාම දුෂ්කර වුණා. අපට මුළු උදෑසනම ජලය ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා ගත කිරීමට සිදු වූ අතර මෙම ගැටළුව අපගේ අනෙකුත් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් වලට විශේෂයෙන් අපගේ දරුවන්ගේ පාසල් කටයුතුවලට බාධා ඇති කළා. මගේ දරුවන්ද මේ පිලිබදව සතුටු වෙනවා මන්ද, දැන් ඔවුන්ට සේදීමට බොහෝ දුර යා යුතු නැති නිසා. මේ නිසා ග්‍රීන් ක්‍රොස් ආයතනයට ස්තූතිවන්ත වෙනවා අපගේ ජල ගැටලු විසඳීමට හැකි වීම ගැන. ”
“We feel so happy to have clean water. Our people had to go far in search of water. Without water it is hard for women to carry out their household chores. We had to spend the whole morning fetching water and this problem interfered with our other activities specially our children’s school activity. My children are also happy because they don’t have to go far to wash. Thanks to Green Cross institution we were able to solve our water problems.”

“පිරිසිදු ජලය සෑම කෙනෙකුටම අත්‍යවශ්‍යයි. දුර බැහැර ප්‍රදේශයක ජීවත්වන අප වසර ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ පිරිසුදු ජලය නොමැතිව බොහෝ ගැටලුවලට මුහුණ දුන්නා. මෙම ජල ව්‍යාපෘතිය ගමට පැමිණීමට පෙර අපට නිශ්චිත ජල ප්‍රභවයක් තිබ්බෙ නැහැ. ඊට අමතරව අපේ ජනතාවට කොලරාව, පාචනය වැනි ජලය ආශ්‍රිත රෝග මෙන්ම දරුණු වකුගඩු රෝගවලටද මුහුණ දීමට සිදුවිය. මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියෙන් ලැබුණු පිරිසිදු ජලය අපගේ සනීපාරක්ෂාව සහ අපගේ සෞඛ්‍යය ආරක්ෂාව වැඩි දියුණු කිරීමට මනා පිටිවහලක් වුණා. මෙම ආයතනයට ස්තුතිවන්ත වෙන්න දැන් අපට එම රෝගවලින් තොර ජීවිතයක් ගත කළ හැකියි.”
“Clean water is essential for everyone. As a remote area we have faced many problems without clean water for many years. We did not have a water source nearby before this water project came to village. Apart from that our people had to face water related diseases like cholera and diarrhea as well as severe kidney diseases. Clean water from this project caused to safeguard our health and improve hygiene. Thanks to this institution, now we can live free from those diseases.”
