We hope to educate a large number of school children on the importance of the environmental protection and enhance the environmental knowledge of the younger generation of Sri Lanka, which is in the tropical region possessing very rich biodiversity. This will be beneficial for them in the future as dedicated citizens in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is facing a severe shortage of clean drinking water, especially in remote villages. Due to that fact, serious health problems have arisen. We have already launched a number of projects to address this issue and look forward to launching more water projects in the future.
Green Cross Sri Lanka is planning to implement the 4th Water Project by collaborating with the Embassy of Japan in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka which provided a grant through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security
